Mariga: Thank you to Mourinho

He may have missed to join the prestigious league in the world but Kenyan International Footballer, McDonald Mariga has a reason to smile.

He became the first Kenyan and East African to play in the Champions league. Though for a few minute the ululation and joy of Kenyans who were closely following the match was expressed clearly.

I salute Inter Milan Coach Jose Mourinho for giving hope to the upcoming youngsters in Kenya.

Truly, i believe you[Mourinho] are the best coach in the world.
Its high time for the English football governing body to remove the law that uses ranking as the criteria for allowing players to play for EPL. Otherwise, they will be missing the real talents.

Word for Makerere

The events that have been happening at Makerere are unfortunate and as an almuni, i take this opportunity to send my condolescence to the bereaved families. I also wish the students in Mulago hospital quick recovery.

I concur with Kenyan Universities Union Students leaders, who have recommended for a thorough investigation on the situation following a series of similar events in recent years especially for Kenyan students in Uganda.

The assurance by the authorities for safety and protection of the student is a welcome gesture. Its my hope that we shall not have a recurrence of the same shooting in other institutions. Its upon the Uganda government to ensure safety of Foreign students in the country.

For students, its high time their keep calm as their wait for investigation and appropriate action to be taken. Their should be more considerate to the finalists who have only two months to finish. Let the students conduct the election fairly and may the best candidate win.
