The fifty –years- old Cyrus Ndentu Mwangi was born in Rumuruti Laikipia district. He finished his education at Uashin Ngishu secondary school in 1980. He could not pursue his education further but opted to start his own business.
He married his first wife Monica Wanjiru before he married his second wife. Hadija Athieno. He is blessed with five children, two-works in Nairobi and three are now working at Eldoret.
Like many thousands Kenyan now, who had their homes living in camp, Ndentu is one them. He explain in pain how he lost his second – hand clothes (Mitumba) business which was flourishing at Malaba. He also had a farm where he expected to harvest over 25 bags of Maize by the end of January this year. He total to have lost over a million Kenya shillings.
However he is optimistic to work hard and reclaim whatever he lost.
He thanked the President Yoweri Museveni and citizen of Uganda for the hospitality they’re accorded the refugees. “ Ugandans are hospitable people. Life in Kenyans camp were pathetic, the Kenya Government ignored us but President Museveni gave as a everything.” Nderitu said.
